Special Olympics Athletes Walk in Fashion Show at B2 Outlet Store in Big Rapids

Special Olympics Area 5 athletes traded the court for the runway Sunday night in Big Rapids.

B2 Outlets hosted a fashion show for seven Special Olympics athletes.

The athletes ages 15 to 29 strutted their stuff for the audience.

Students from Ferris State University helped the models get ready.

B2 Outlets says they came up with the idea.

It’s part of the store’s Shop to Give event which takes place until the 28th.

Special Olympics Michigan will receive a portion of the sales.

“I wanted to participate in this because it’s helping out my area for one. Two I like dressing up,” says athlete and model Shawn Feldt.

“They have a special place in my heart, I know a few of them and I thought it would be fun to make them feel special for a day,” says store manager Sarah Locey.

B2 Outlets also told us the models got to keep the two outfits they wore.
