A local organization dedicated to helping those in a time of need is now part of a national fundraising program, and you can help.
Spark in the Dark is competing in USA Today’s “ A fundraising program that helps shine a light on the work of local organizations.
It is working to earn $25,000 in grant money to build an app that can help the organization reach more people.
Spark in the Dark is a Facebook group that lets people reach out in times of need.
In just over two years, they’ve been able to connect 25,000 situations to solutions in the more than 9,000 member group.
“A Community Thrives” crowdfunding campaign launched today and runs through April 12.
