2nd Annual Superhero Autism Activity Day In Sault Ste. Marie Brings Community Together

Centria Autism services in Sault Ste. Marie teamed up with “superheroes” Saturday for a fantastic family event.

Volunteers helped make the 2nd Annual Superhero Autism Activity Day happen at Sault Area High School.

Heroes of all types got to have fun with face painting, bowling and even a bounce house.

People at the event say it was a welcoming atmosphere to those with and without disabilities.

Centria regional clinical director Carrie Gray said “I think it’s very important that a community as a whole understands that just because your child is diagnosed, it doesn’t mean it is the end of the world.”

Centria says they started autism activity days as a way for everyone to get together and meet new faces.
