Multiple Dead After Mass Shootings in New Zealand Mosques

Multiple are dead after two shootings breakout in two New Zealand mosques.

It all started at 1:40 p.m. on Friday local time in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Armored police were sent to the city center after hearing reports of gunshots in a mosque.

Shooters opened fire for 10 to 15 minutes inside the mosques.

Police have also diffused several improvised bombs around the city found under vehicles.

Hospitals and schools have been placed on lockdown and police warned locals to stay inside until further notice.

All mosques across the country were asked to lock their doors immediately.

New Zealand’s Prime Minister says that there is at least 49 dead at this time.

What we do know is that there are four in custody at this time. Three men and one woman. Although, local authorities say they are unsure if anyone else was involved, and say there may still be a threat.
