Drivers, Pedestrians Asked to Remember These Flooding Safety Tips

The flooding in Newaygo County has several roads closed because of water and washouts, as you can see from the photos above.

Here are some things to remember if you come up against flood waters wherever you are.

Flooding Safety

Do not go around closed road barriers.

Do not walk or drive through flood waters.

Do not drive over bridges over fast-moving floodwaters.

And remember, it only takes six inches of water to knock you down and a foot to sweep away your vehicle.
