Cadillac YMCA Hosts Pirates, Princesses for Night of Family Fun

The Cadillac YMCA is calling all pirates and princesses for a night of fun and adventure.

The annual event is going on Thursday until 8 p.m. at the YMCA in Cadillac, so grab your favorite sword, eye patch or tiara!

The Princess and Pirate Dance is a fun family event with games and dancing.

Kids can even walk the plank and slide into the sea in an obstacle course.

If that’s not enough, you can make your own parrot or pirate hook.

The YMCA says this a great way for families to have fun together.

“It makes me feel great to see people walk in and having fun as a family, excited to do something together, to do something away from T.V., away from electronics, away from school, work, and they can come and just have fun together. When you can see kids and families having fun and interacting together, it just makes you feel good about it. That’s what we want to see,” said Paul King, membership and marketing director for the Cadillac YMCA.

The money raised from the event will help support the YMCA’s scholarship program and provide financial assistance for people to join the YMCA.
