Deadly Plane Crash Kills 157 in Ethiopia
Investigators are still trying to pinpoint what caused a deadly plane crash in Ethiopia.
Ethiopian airlines flight ET 302 took off from the capital city of Addis Ababa Sunday morning, on its way to Nairobi, Kenya.
It crashed six minutes after take-off.
Among the dead, 149 passengers and 8 crew members.
The airline says it purchased the Boeing 7-37 Max in November of 2018, and that the aircraft passed all routine maintenance checks.
However, investigators say the pilot reported technical difficulties after taking off, and was given clearance to return to the airport.
The National Transportation Safety Board is sending a four-member team to the site to assist in the investigation.
