March is reading month, and the Everybody Reads Network says it needs people to “word up.”
A new school program called Word Up needs volunteers—tasked with the joyful job of making reading fun for kids.
From bugs to birds and superheroes, activities are built around book themes to make reading more engaging.
The 10 week program is visiting two schools in Grand Traverse County and one in Kalkaska.
Anyone interested in giving their time and talents can see below.
If you have questions but need more information or aren’t quite ready to sign up for the full 10 weeks, contact Woody at ssmith@avenueisr.com or call 231-883-2835.
