Red Cross of Northern Michigan Asking for Donations, Volunteers

Following several fires the past few weeks, the Red Cross has been busy in Northern Michigan.

And they need your help.

They’re looking for any donations to support their home fire program which helps to make homes safer from fire danger, as well as their home fire response which provides help to people who have been displaced by a house fire.

“For me what we do with our home fire program is something that no one else does. Firefighters are busy doing their job putting out fires, you know if EMS has to be there, they’re busy doing those kinds of things so who’s there to make sure that family has a warm place to stay that night and to give a hug, Red Cross,” says Cathy Anthofer-Falon.

And March is Red Cross month.
