President Trump Speaks on India-Pakistan Crisis

President Trump says the crisis between Pakistan and India is coming to an end.

Tensions between the two countries continues to grow, amid their fight over the disputed region of Kashmir.

Before leaving Vietnam Thursday Morning, the president addressed the situation, and alluded to possible U.S. attempts to de-escalate the crisis.

However, he did not specify how.

Pakistan’s prime minister also says he will release a captured Indian pilot Friday as a peace gesture.

The country took the pilot into custody Wednesday, after Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority shot down the plane he was flying.

That move was in response to an airstrike by Indian aircraft a day earlier.
