Michigan Creating Four Groups To Regulate in State Marijuana

Michigan is creating four groups to help regulate marijuana in the state.

One group will represent businesses that have medical marijuana licenses, and are interested in going into the recreational marijuana market.

Another will represent cities and towns considering allowing recreational marijuana facilities.

The other two groups will be for attorneys representing individuals, or businesses looking to take part in the recreational marijuana market.

If you’re interested in joining one of the groups, you have until march fourth to register.

If you are interested in an adult-use marijuana workgroup you must send an email to LARA-MedicalMarijuana@michigan.gov with “Work Group” in the subject line. The body of the email must contain the following:

  • The name of the workgroup you would be interested in participating in: Licensees, Municipalities, Attorneys, or Individuals/Businesses.

  • Your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, occupation, job title, and the name of the employer or organization that you are affiliated with.

  • A brief explanation (no more than 150 words) detailing your qualifications for inclusion in the stakeholder work group. Please do not include attachments with your email.
