Cadillac Driver Unable to Brake Slides into Path of Moving Train

A close call for a driver in Cadillac Tuesday.

He couldn’t stop and slid right into the path of a moving train.

Cadillac police say the driver tried to back up, but couldn’t get out of the way before he got hit by the train.

It happened at the railroad intersection at Cedar and Hobart streets.

The man was trapped inside of the car until the Cadillac Fire Department managed to get him out.

The man was not injured and the train was not damaged.

This is a reminder to drivers to take it slow and give yourself plenty of room to brake.
