Dogs Rescued from South Korea Headed for Michigan Shelter

Hundreds of dogs from a South Korean dog meat farm have been rescued by the U.S Humane Society and Humane Society International.

Now a group of them are headed for Michigan.

The Midland County Humane society is expecting to receive five to ten of the canines late Tuesday night.

They will include breeds which are rare in Michigan like a Tosa Inu (similar to a Korean Mastiff) and the Jindo; which looks like the Shiba Inu breed of doge fame.

The Humane Society says this particular farm has been shut down and the owners have been given new skills to support their families.
