John Dingell Laid to Rest at Arlington National Cemetery

An emotional farewell to former Michigan Congressman John Dingell.

The man known to many as the Dean of the House has been laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.

Dingell passed away at his Dearborn home last Thursday from cancer. 

He was 92 years old.

John Dingell was the longest-serving member of Congress when he retired in 2015.

His wife, Congresswoman Debbie Dingell received a U.S. flag for his military and political work to the country at John’s funeral Friday.

Former and current lawmakers were also at the funeral to pay their final respects.

He was known by many for his support of universal health care, and Detroit’s auto industry.
