Secretary of State Website, Offices to be Unavailable For Several Days
Michigan Secretary of State offices and online services will be unavailable for several days beginning Friday, while it undergoes a major computer upgrade.
All branches and online sites will shut down from 5 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. on Tuesday for the upgrade.
Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says the new system will replace decades old technology.
One of the upgrade features will allow vehicle owners to order license plates, renew snowmobile registrations and order state park passports online.
