Former CMU SGA President Heading to Trial for Sexual Assault
The former Central Michigan University Student Government Association president is going to trial for sexual assault.
It came after sex crime charges were dropped by the Isabella County prosecutor’s office last April.
Elliott is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Mount Pleasant in 2016 when he was a student at Central Michigan University.
Elliott is charged with two counts of third-degree sex crimes and assault with intent to commit penetration.
The district judge ruled there is enough evidence for a trial.
No trial date has been set.
