Michigan Attorney General Asked to Review GOP Changes to Wage, Sick Day Laws
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel has been asked to review legislation passed in during last year’s lame duck session.
The legislation in question scales back minimum wage hikes, and laws about paid sick days.
State Senator Stephanie Chang requested the review.
She wants Nessel to review the constitutionality of the Republican-backed legislation.
The law passed in September, keeping the issue off the November ballot.
That allowed them to scale back the laws by simple majority after the election.
