Former Kingsley Principal Charged With Sex Crimes Accused of Violating Bond

The former Kingsley area principal accused of multiple crimes against students has violated his bond.

The Grand Traverse County prosecuting attorney says Karl Hartman is on a GPS tether and was inside what’s known as an exclusion zone last week.

The exclusion zone is areas he is not allowed to be in, but it is not clear where he was that caused a bond violation.

Hartman is facing three felonies and two misdemeanors, all for incidents that occurred with minors.

He will be in court later this week for the bond violation hearing.
