Charlie & the Chef: Creamy, Cajun Mac & Cheese

WHAT YOU NEED:

Assorted mushrooms, sliced (amount will vary, depending upon the size of the topping you want)

Several cups of the cheese blend of your choice, cut into small pieces.

1 lb cavatappi pasta, cooked, drained.

2 cups 1/2 and 1/2

Pinch of Cajun seasoning blend

Pinch of cayenne pepper

Salt

Pepper

6 shrimp, cleaned and deveined

Unsalted butter to coat shrimp pan

HOW TO MAKE IT:

In a pan, combine 1/2 and 1/2 with cheese blend.

Add precooked noodles to pan and begin to fold mixture together as the cheese melts.

Add pinch of cayenne pepper.

In a separate pan, add butter and shrimp.

In a third pan, add butter and mushrooms.

Coat shrimp in Cajun seasoning mix.

Pan fry until golden brown.

Plate mac and cheese, top with mushrooms and ring with Cajun shrimp.

Serve and enjoy!
