State Police Looking for 2 Children Potentially in Danger
UPDATE: Both girls found unharmed
State police need help looking for two children they say could be in danger, and could be in Northern Michigan.
Their names are Jenna and Alexis Ypma. Police say their father, Joel Ypma, did not drop them off at school in Byron Center Monday.
They believe he is suffering from a mental episode and could be driving to Northern Michigan.
He was last believed to be in the Mackinaw City area.
The kids were last seen in Grand Rapids.
Police say Joel has shown signs of paranoia and believes he is being followed.
Alexis is 12, has blonde hair, blue eyes and is about 5’1”.
Jenna is nine has blonde hair, blue eyes and is about 4’8”.
Jenna also has braces and is known to wear teal framed glasses.
Police are looking for a black 2012 or 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the license plate BMK5222.
