Antrim County Sheriff: Crash Sends Woman to Hospital With Life-Threatening Injuries

The Antrim County Sheriff’s Office says ice was a factor in a crash that sent a woman to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

It happened around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon on Elk Lake Road near Orchard Lane in Elk Rapids Township.

They say a 17-year-old from Kewadin lost control of his SUV on the icy roads.

He hit another SUV driven by Michelene Pollister of Elk Rapids.

She was immediately taken into surgery at the hospital.

No word on her status right now.

The sheriff’s office says the Kewadin teen was taken to the hospital and is expected to be O.K.
