Power Outages Put Thousands in the Dark in Northern Michigan

Power outages have put thousands in the dark in Northern Michigan, including almost 14,000 in Montcalm County. 

Other smaller power outages were reported in Missaukee, Mecosta, Isabella, Oceana and Newaygo counties Thursday night.

Montcalm Emergency Services is opening a shelter in Greenville for people affected. There are also several warming centers on stand-by if the need arises.
