Grant Me Hope: Joy

Joy is a girl who loves creative outlets like drawing and singing, along with cooking and board games.

She’s a 15-year-old sweetheart who is waiting for her forever family to find her.

This 10th grader loves gospel music and R&B.

“I have one guy I’m in love with: Justin Bieber. You guys probably don’t like him. And then for a gospel, I like William McDowell, Marvin Sap,” said Joy.

Joy has dreams of going to college and already has an idea of what she wants to be when she grows up.

“I want to probably be a nurse at a hospital or something like that. I want to work with pets. I want to go to college, I’ve learned from my family that it’s a good idea to get your master’s degree and stuff like that,” explained Joy.

Joy has another dream, too.

“If I had one wish, it would be to live in a safe home with like a dad and a mom to help me with the needs that I have,” said Joy. “I just want to get the help and be loved. I’ve had that, but not like a lot. I just hope that I can get that soon.”

Grant Me Hope is a collaboration between WWTV, Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange and the business community — all working together to find foster children a forever home.
