Judge Sentences Man to Prison for Having, Transporting Child Porn

A judge sentenced a man to 20 years in federal prison for having child porn and transporting it between the U.S. and Canada.

Disturbing pictures of him were used in the investigation to put him behind bars.

Last February we told you Jason Bishop was deported from Canada for having child porn.

He was charged with the same thing in the Upper Peninsula.

In January 2017 federal prosecutors say they found child porn on Bishop as he crossed the border from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Sault Ste. Marie, Canada.

Investigators later found the photos of bishop.

They say he took them himself.

Bishop has a criminal history including soliciting sex with underage children at least three other times.

In addition to prison time, Bishop has to pay a $40,000 fine.
