Facebook spread the word about Bill Helsel and his mission to assist the elderly.
Helsel is the owner of All Seasons Lawncare in Manton.
During the recent winter storm that passed, he offered free plowing services to the local community.
Specifically, focusing on anyone over the age of 6o that needs extra assistance.
Helsel was concerned about them getting stuck in their driveways and homes due to the recent winter storm.
Especially, the health risks the dangerous temperatures can cause.
“Years and years I’ve heard about people having heart attacks shoveling in the cold weather,” Helsel said.”If what we did over the past couple of days even saved one life, you can’t put a price on that…it takes two minutes to plow a driveway.”
Helsel’s Facebook post extended to parts of the community he never intended to reach.
Helsel has been able to help over twenty-five people with his free plowing service.
