Grant Me Hope: Keven

While many of us have taken these snow days for granted, there are tens of thousands of children in the United States who do not have a family to spend them with.

They are simply waiting for a family to adopt them and love them unconditionally.

Keven is just one of them.

“I want a home, not a group home,” Keven says. “A group home is not a family. Staff goes back to their home. In a home, we spend time with our family. And I want to be adopted and all that.”

The 17 year old loves fishing, watching movies and playing baseball.

And the kid enjoys a range of music, from country to rap!

Keven loves to joke around about everything, and he’s actually a mentor for other kids in the program he’s in.

“Trying to get adopted would make me very happy,” Keven says. “I would like to have sisters, brothers, dogs and cats.”

Grant Me Hope is a collaboration between WWTV, Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange and the business community — all working together to find foster children a forever home.
