DNR: More than 22M Fish Stocked in Michigan Waters in 2018

Good news for fisherman across the state.

More than 1.1 million fish were stocked in Michigan waters last fall the Michigan Department of Natural Resources says.

The fish were put in 153 different locations throughout the state.

That put the total number stocked last year over 22 million.

Among the species were Atlantic salmon, channel catfish, brook trout, coho salmon, rainbow trout, lake sturgeon, walleye and muskellunge.

Some other fisheries stocked fingerling walleye.
