Traverse City’s Local Love for Levi Britton

Within 10 days, a GoFundMe page for a Traverse City native was able to reach its goal and then some.

But the community is not stopping there.

Indie folk rock artist Levi Britton underwent open heart surgery on Jan. 10 at Munson Medical Center to repair a damaged mitral valve.

He is in recovery, but will be unable to work for three months.

As of Jan. 21, a GoFundMe page for Levi raised almost $30,000 to help. And a special bash Tuesday at Kilkenny’s Irish Public House in Traverse City is helping spread even more “Local Love for Levi Britton.”

You can stop by Kilkenny’s Irish Public House for a ton of live performances from local artists like Elizabeth Landry, Mike Moran,The Drew Hale Band and more.

And there will be both silent and live auctions. Learn more at this Facebook event page here.
