Sault Ste. Marie Gas Station Thrives in Brutal Cold Temperatures
Many spots felt well below zero throughout the day Sunday.
Parts of the Eastern Upper Peninsula had temperatures drop to -30 degrees.
The wind chill made it feel even colder.
The only full-service gas station in Sault Ste. Marie was up to the task of battling the cold.
They braved the chill to serve their customers.
“The colder we get, the busier we get. They appreciate that we are here so they don’t have to get out. I don’t blame them when it gets down to 20 below!” says T.J. Weatherly, a Super-Flite attendant.
Weatherly says sometimes customers will tip them or even bring them goodies and coffee for their service.
