Charter Celebrates Debut of Gigabit Service in Northern Michigan

Charter recently launched what’s known as gigabit service across northern Michigan.

That means the internet is faster than regular service and it comes with more available bandwidth.

Charter also says this means more information moving at faster speeds.

They say it’s a critical move for businesses and people who live in northern Michigan and often struggle to get access to faster internet speeds.

“It means that northern Michigan has the best internet service that’s available right at their fingertips, they can call and get the service that’s top notch in northern Michigan that you’re going to get in major metropolitan areas anywhere else in the county,” said Bill Morand, Senior Regional Communication Director.

Local Traverse City leaders also attended Monday’s event and say they’re excited about Charter’s new gigabit service.
