Families Enjoy Cran-Hill Ranch Winterfest Celebration

Local families braved the cold weather Saturday in Mecosta County.

They did so to enjoy a day full of winter fun.

The best part is that it was all free.

It was all part of Cran-Hill Ranch’s 12th Winterfest Celebration.

Cran-Hill Ranch is a Christian campground in Rodney.

Families came out Saturday to enjoy lots of fun activities, including archery, pony rides and arts and crafts.

Anyone who attended was also given a free meal.

Festival organizers designed this event to give back to the community.

The president of the ranch says it is a way for families to connect while teaching their children something new.

“To be along side them as they learn to do archery, or riflery, or tomahawk throw, or any of the activities we do, that builds legacy into your family,” says Scott Barger, the president of Cran-Hill Ranch.

Scott encourages people to come to the campground year round.

He says he is already looking forward to their summer camp.
