Michigan State Police Work to Educate Public on the Signs of Human Trafficking

It’s National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, and the state of Michigan is looking to protect travelers on its highways.

Michigan State Police motor carrier officers are teaming up with officers from bordering states. They’re educating the public about the signs of human trafficking.

They especially want commercial and public transportation drivers to be on the lookout for anything suspicious.

The carrier officers plan to speak with those people and even rest area attendants next week. It’s all in an effort to share the signs of human trafficking with those who see the most travelers.
