President Trump to Give First Oval Office Speech

President Trump will give his first ever speech from his desk in the oval office on Tuesday.

He wants to address the nation to argue his case for a wall along the U.S./Mexico border.

It comes on the 18th day of a partial government shutdown, now the second longest in the nation’s history.

The president continues to demand congressional Democrats give him $5.6 billion to fund the border wall.

Democrats are not giving in and will offer a response immediately after the presidential address.

Border security is a topic the president has promised to tackle since the day he announced he was running for president.

The president’s first oval office address to the nation will start at 9 p.m. and is expected to last 10 minutes.
