MTM On The Road: 70 Hour Mountain Challenge to Celebrate 70 Years at Boyne Mountain

Boyne Mountain had its first grand opening celebration on January 9, 1949, and to celebrate their 70 year anniversary, they are putting on a 70-hour mountain challenge from January 9-12. The ski lifts will spin for 70 straight hours and it’s all to give back to Challenge Mountain, an organization that offers recreational programming for people with disabilities, including skiing.  Skiers and snowboarders can organize a team of seven, or participate as an individual to raise money.  Preregistration is required by visiting here. Competitors are also in the running for Custom Boyne Mountain’s 70th Anniversary Skis or two-night lodging at Boyne Mountain. Wake up with Regan Blissett and photojournalist Stephanie Adkins as they hit the slopes to tell you about this event.
