Traverse City’s ‘Pour for More’ Event Combines 25 Local Beverage Businesses
A Traverse City nonprofit is holding an event Friday to kick off their fundraising efforts for 2019.
“Pour for more” is a collaboration of 25 local beverage businesses that help a different nonprofit every month.
One dollar is added to the price of the businesses’ ‘Pour for More’ beverage.
That dollar is then donated back to a nonprofit.
Rare Bird Brewpub is hosting a kickoff event Friday to collect additional donations for this month’s recipient.
“This time it’s for the Women’s Resource Center specifically for Helen’s House. It’s called Raise the Bar, and we’re trying to raise supplies that they need: tampons, free and clear laundry detergent, green cleaning supplies and larger diapers for size 4, 5, and 6. If you bring in an item, we’ll give you a beer for a penny,” says Rare Bird owner, Tina Schuette.
The event is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday night.
