Traverse City’s The Good Bowl Donates Nearly $18,000 to Charity

A mission-driven restaurant has had a successful first year, and there’s even more good to come.

A Vietnamese restaurant, The Good Bowl in Traverse City, ended 2018 by donating nearly $18,000 to six non-profits. And this comes after it just opened late June!

The restaurant donates $1 for every signature bowl they sell, and guests get to pick the charity their money goes to.

This past year they helped Father Fred’s Blessing in a Backpack Program, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, UNICEF for the Syrian refugee crisis, Step Up Northern Michigan, STOMP Out Bullying and Charity: Water.

From now until March, donations will go to FLOW For Love of Water, a local nonprofit dedicated to protecting the Great Lakes Basin.

Girls Inc., which advocates on behalf of girls and delivers life-changing programs.

And Doctors Without Borders.
