Mackinac Island: Artists Wanted For Residency

Northern Michigan loves celebrating the creative and talented, and so many of those people can find inspiration on Mackinac Island.

The Mackinac State Historic Parks’ Artist-In-Residence Program is looking for people to fill two and three week residencies on the island from June to October.

The resident artist is housed in the newly-remodeled one-bedroom apartment on the second floor of the Mackinac Island Visitor’s Center.

Artists can also be writers, composers, sculptors or photographers, and they are asked to do two public presentations and contribute one piece of their work to Mackinac State Historic Parks within 12 months.

You can learn more about the application process here at mackinacparks.com.
