People in Otsego County looking to head out on New Years Eve don’t need to worry about getting a ride home that night.
The Otsego County Bus System is extending its hours to make sure everyone gets a ride home safe on New Year’s Eve.
The rides are free and people can start requesting them from 5:30 p.m. that night until 2 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
This is an annual service that keeps growing every year.
Otsego County Bus System Manager Timothy Cherwinski says it’s all an effort to make sure people stay safe as they celebrate the new year.
“Last year was our best year with approximately 100 to 110 participants,” he says. “The more the merrier. The more that use us, the safer the streets are going to be.”
