Troopers Respond to Public Nudity Call, Find Hypothermic Man

An Alpena man is safe after state police say he was found walking around nude and hypothermic.

Troopers began investigating Thursday afternoon when they received a complaint about a naked man walking around outside.

They eventually found the man inside an unoccupied cabin, on the brink of freezing to death.

They say the man had been running along a river when he slipped and fell into the water.

After struggling to get out of the water, he ended up removing his clothes.

While looking for warmth, he stumbled upon the unoccupied cabin.

The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Troopers say the owner of the cabin will not be pressing charges against the man.
