Teacher Faces Tenure Charges For Inappropriate Picture
The Lake City Board of Education unanimously agreed to these charges and says the teacher was not serving as a role model to students.
The Lake City Superintendent says this is not a criminal matter.
The initial complaint about the post came from a parent.
The school responded by placing this teacher, who was in their third year with the school, on administrative leave on Nov. 28.
At this point the case is still under investigation.
“What’s important for Lake City Schools is that we always take parent complaints concerns seriously and if there is something we always investigate, look at everything,” said Kimberly Blaszak, superintendent at Lake City Area Schools.
She says the teacher can appeal these charges and it will go to the tenure commission where a hearing will held.
