Central Michigan University Moving Forward on Campus Housing Improvements

Central Michigan University is getting $13 million to improve campus housing.

This is just phase one of three in a $76 million project.

This first phase will modernize the north residence hall complex and make improvements to the south and east halls.

They also plan to demolish Barnes Hall.

That hall originally opened in 1951.

This work is set to start next year, while phase two and three should take place in 2020 and 2021.
