NMC’s Holiday Cookie Decorating Classes are a Hit; New Catalog & Upcoming Campus Day

If you are looking for a great gift or holiday get-together idea, there’s a world of knowledge and activity just a class away.

Cookie decorating and Campus Day are just a couple of great ways to bond with family or friends and explore your adventurous side this holiday season with Northwestern Michigan College’s Extended Education Program.

Cookies with Kids

Cookie decorating is very popular for both adults and kids, and makes for a great gift to the person who only wants to spend some time together.

There are a few spaces open for more in the next class on Dec. 8. Children ages 8 and older sign up to take the class with an adult.

“We have had to add class after class of these cookie decorating classes,” Director Laura Matchett says. “Those have been very popular.”

Pre-Register for Campus Day, May 2019

Matchett also says NMC’s recent Campus Day on Nov. 16 was a huge success.

“We had over 450 attendees, presenters and volunteers to make this day great and we always get great feedback about the variety of sessions,” she says. “All kinds of different topics from the aging eye, to fitness and yoga. And political issues, all kids of things. We’re really proud of that.”

The next campus day will be in May, and you can preregister for that event, which allows you to choose your sessions a week early.
