The U.S.-Mexico border in San Diego is open again Monday morning.

It shut down Sunday when hundreds of migrants tried getting through a fence during a protest.

The president is demanding that Mexico stop migrants from getting to the border and threatening congress with a government shutdown.

That’s just a glimpse of the chaotic situation at the border Sunday.

Hundreds of migrants pushed past Mexican police, climbed fences and crossed the riverbank to get to the border.

They were met with border patrol agents who shot tear gas at them.

President Trump has been talking to Mexico’s incoming government about keeping asylum seekers in Mexico while their cases are processed in the U.S.

A new rule that could go in effect December 1, when Mexico’s new president is sworn in.
