Shepherd’s Table Cadillac in Need of Help to Serve Locals on Thanksgiving

“Last year we served 471 meals for Thanksgiving.”

The Shepherd’s Table in Cadillac is in need of extra help this Thanksgiving season.

The Shepherd’s Table has been serving hot meals to area residents in need for the past 38 years, every Tuesday and Thursday

They deliver dinners and serve food at the First Baptist Church in Cadillac.

Since Thanksgiving falls on a Thursday they are in need of extra volunteers.

People to lend a hand with cleaning dishes, prepping food or setting the tables in the hall.

“It’s fun I mean honestly it’s stressful at first obviously but when everything is starting to click and people work together you get all these people that volunteer it’s like a fun fest here.  Somebody is pulling turkeys and someone is mashing potatoes and we are all talking and having a good time,” Janis King, coordinator for the Shepherd’s Table said.

If you’re interested in volunteering, call:  (231) 775-6741 or (231) 884-1991.
