Mount Pleasant Board of Commissioners Donated $5K to Study for Train From Traverse City to Ann Arbor

The Mount Pleasant Board of Commissioners is donating $5,000 to a study for the passenger train that would connect Traverse City to Ann Arbor.

The feasibility study costs $45,000 and $30,000 of that will be covered by the federal government.

This is phase two of a study that was conducted to take a look at the economic benefits that could come from this passenger train.

It shows potentially, one and half million riders and $110 million in revenue for local communities.

The entire board is in support of this and looking forward to hearing how it could have a positive impact on their community.
