Morning Commute: Rough Roads a Reality in the Tip of the Mitt and EUP

Rough roads have been a reality for most of us this weekend.

From the tip of the mitt through the Upper Peninsula, drivers navigated slick and slushy roads.

Low visibility also forced drivers to take things slow.

With the weather affecting morning commutes, many drivers are gearing up to give themselves extra time.

“First thing you do is you got to slow down, there’s a tendency for people to think they got good tires, good traction, but you got to slow down cause you don’t know what you’re going to hit, you don’t know if deer is going to come out in front of you, you don’t know what the next person’s going to do behind you, absolutely slow down, you have to do that,” David Murray, said.

Winter weather advisories in those areas are in effect until Monday morning.
