A Northern Michigan nonprofit is hosting their annual fundraiser and now is the time to get tickets.

Sisters of Sobriety in Remus will hold their second annual Fundraising Gala at the New Hope Church on Saturday.

The nonprofit started last year.

They provide transitional housing and life skills and training for women recovering from substance abuse.

The fundraiser will help them expand their building and the services they offer and the number of women they will be able to help.

“I am in recovery. It took me a long time to get where I’m at. If I can give just a little bit of what I have a way to just one person. I’ve done my job,” says Angela Kazemiar, co-founder and executive director.

“We’re getting out-of-state referrals and the more the words get out that we’re here, the more recovery there will be in all of the communities.”

The Gala will include dinner, door prizes, a silent auction and you can even stop by the Sisters of Sobriety house for a quick tour before the event.

Tickets available for $25 at @sistersofsobriety.org
