Bill Schuette Gives Concession Speech, Wishes Whitmer Well

We heard from the Attorney General after the unofficial results for governor came in.

He has officially conceded this race to democratic opponent, Gretchen Whitmer.

Schuette said this was a tough political climate and things simply did not go the way the campaign had hoped.

He called it nothing less than an honor to run for governor.

He also thanked his running mate, his family and everyone who worked on his campaign

He said he has spoken with now governor elect Gretchen Whitmer, had a good conversation and wished her well.

“Just a minute ago I called Gretchen Whitmer, God bless Michigan.”

As for what’s next Attorney General Bill Schuette says he will spend some quality time with his family.
