Former Bangladesh Supreme Court Justice Speaks at Northwestern Michigan College
A former chief justice of the Bangladesh Supreme Court spoke about democracy at Northwestern Michigan College.
Justice Sinha was forced by the Bangladesh government to resign last year.
He claims it was because of his opposition to the one party in control of government.
Monday he visited NMC to touch on what he sees as the erosion of democracy in Bangladesh and he worries a similar thing could happen in America.
“Democracy is not working. American independence and Bangladesh independence is a resemblance by struggle, by fighting, by demolition,” Sinha said.
The former justice was speaking to promote his new book called “A Broken Dream.”
