What’s Happening in Northern Michigan: Halloween Fun

There’s plenty of ways to enjoy the seasonal festivities across Northern Michigan with autumn in full swing and Halloween on the way.

Courtney Sheffer with the West Michigan Tourist Association gives us a look at some of the fun, fall-inspired activities we have to look forward to.

There’s no shortage of options if you’re looking for Halloween fun in the area!

Traverse City will be hosting their downtown this Saturday, Oct. 27. 

Bring your kids in costume for a day of trick-or-treating at many of the stores in the downtown area.

will also be handing out candy to kids in costumes on Halloween day.

Participating businesses will have orange pumpkins on display in their storefront windows on the 31st.

The Village at Bay Harbor will host their annual on Halloween from 4-5 p.m.

Stores will be passing out treats and Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic and lined with trunks filled with goodies for the kids.

Start planning your Halloween costume and celebration at on October 27 and 28.

Enjoy live music, munchies and drink specials with their ‘80s versus ‘90s theme.

As an added incentive, there’s no cover charge if you come in your Halloween costume, and you’ll have the chance to win the prize for best costume.
